Lynn is the inventor and creative force behind the DNA—Distinct Natural Advantage branding program, and the Client for Life relationship marketing concept.  Through video and workbook packages, webinars, speaking and consulting, Lynn helps professional advisors differentiate themselves, simplify their marketing efforts, and wildly increase their confidence.

Equal parts communication artist and salesman extraordinaire,   Lynn creates and imparts revolutionary ideas that inspire professional advisors to overcome their technical natures and communicate in a way prospective clients find irresistible. A restless seeker of ideas that transform, Lynn‘s mission is to find and share concepts that will help advisors take action, break through their ceiling of complexity, and shatter their limitations.

Background

Lynn was born into a loving blue-collar family in East Tennessee.  There he developed a deep southern heritage and a great love for the outdoors, but little expectation of a successful financial future. The decision to marry his high school sweetheart at age 17, and have their first child one year later, did not improve the financial odds.

With barely a high school education, his wife’s old car, and one suit from JC Penney’s, Lynn started in the life insurance business at age 18.  At age 20, he moved into mutual fund sales, and at age 25 he opened Gibson and Company, an independent investment firm.

Evolution

Over 25 years of astounding growth, - Lynn’s unique ability to market his advisory services presented him with many invitations to keynote at financial events, fueling his passion for communicating breakthrough possibilities to thousands of professionals.

Prompted by the question “If you were free to do any work you wanted, what would it be?” Lynn pursued this passion for sharing the groundbreaking ideas he had mastered.  The result was The GIBSON GROUP INC., a marketing and consulting firm for advisors, where Lynn now devotes his professional time, while his financial services firm is operated by his business partner and staff.

Personal

Lynn goes from shirt and tie to country boy in 30 seconds.  When he is not working, he is fishing, camping, boating, golfing, driving his 500-horsepower dirt race car, or spending time with his sweetheart Debbie and their three daughters and three grandchildren.
